Germany's Karl Geiger claimed the second World Cup win in Predazzo (ITA) within just 25 hours. On the HS 104 normal hill, Geiger showed jumps of 107 m and 103.5 m (285.2 points). Like yesterday, Austria's Stefan Kraft (103.5 m and 101 m; 280.5 points) and Dawid Kubacki of Poland (102.5 m and 101 m; 278.2 points) came in second and third again.

it was the fourth win in the World Cup for 29-year-old Karl Geiger, the second this winter. "It was a great weekend, very special to me. Two victories this weekend are a great result. The shape during the last competitions was really good and I was able to stay focused. I know that every competition is important so I remain focused and do my best", said Geiger, who even exceeded his own expectations. "I didn’t expect to win two competitions, I was just hoping to make good jumps."

Stefan Kraft was also very satisfied with today's result: "I’m truly happy about this result, the weekend has been nearly perfect, I had very good jumps. Of course, Karl Geiger has been amazing but I’m very satisfied. I can’t wait to jump on bigger hills, I hope I can show what I can do there again."

Not only the Top 3 were identical to the first competition of the weekend on Saturday, Kamil Stoch also repeated yesterday's result. Stoch and his teammate Piotr Zyla tied for fourth. An extremely strong result for the athletes of head coach Michal Dolezal.

Dawid Kubacki said after the competition: “Today was again a very high-level competition, I was trying to do my best in order to be better than yesterday. In my opinion, the jumps were slightly better, but it wasn’t enough to get a better result. Anyways, I’m on the podium again and I’m really happy about my result. It’s really great and I’m really happy that my teammates are just behind me."

With Johann Andre Forfang of Norway (6th), Peter Prevc of Slovenia and Norway's Marius Lindvik (both 7th), Anze Lanisek of Slovenia (9th) and Japanese Yukiya Sato (10th), athletes representing three more nations finished on the places six to ten.
It was also a good day for Sergey Tkachenko of Kazakhstan, who scored World Cup points in 29th.

With today's success, Karl Geiger extended his lead in the overall World Cup. He has now scored 819 points and leads ahead of Stefan Kraft (699 points) and Japan's Ryoyu Kobayashi (655 points). Kobayashi was struggling with the normal hill in Predazzo on both days and finished only 25th.

The World Cup continues next weekend in Titisee-Neustadt (GER), where two competitions will be held on Saturday and Sunday.
