Provisional competition calendars announced

The International Ski Federation FIS presented the competition calendars for the summer 2020 and the 2020/21 winter season on Friday. All of these dates are still subject to change and must be confirmed by the Ski Jumping Committee on May 18th.

The FIS Grand Prix 2020 for men and women will kick off early August in Courchevel. Before the final in Klingenthal in October, the men will also compete in Wisla, Kazakhstan, Chaikovsky, and Hinzenbach. The women will have competitions in Frenstat and Chaikovsky before the summer season ends on October 3rd in the Vogtland-Arena.

Ski Flying World Championships in December
The men's World Cup will once again start in Wisla, this year on November 21st and 22nd. After stops and Ruka and Nizhny Tagil, the Ski Flying World Championships in Planica, which could not take place in March due to the Corona-crises, will be held from December 11th to 13th.

Other highlights on the calendar are the traditional 4-Hills-Tournament around New Year's, the test event for the Olympics in Beijing mid-February, the Nordic World Championships in Oberstdorf from February 23rd to March 7th, and the RAW AIR Tour right after this major event.

The season ends with final on the Ski Flying hill in Planica from March 26th to 28th.

The first competitions of the women's World Cup season will be held in Lillehammer early-December, the final events are the RAW AIR Tour in Norway and the Blue Bird Tour in Russia in March.
