Setback for Daniel Andre Tande
Aug 16, 2019·Ski JumpingDaniel Andre Tande of Norway had to struggle with health problems various times recently, now he is sidelined again due to a knee injury.
"I jumped over the hill size a couple of times during training in Courchevel, then I felt some pain. I was hoping that the injury is not that serious and fortunatelty that's the case. The break will be shorter this time and I'm relieved about that", said Daniel Andre Tande, who had to end last season early due to a knee injury.
"He had a tough landing, but fortunately he didn't sustain any structural injuries. He is not allowed to jump for four to six weeks now and will do physicaly and stability training instead", explains team doctor Guri Ekas after an MRI examination on Thursday.
Head coach Alexander Stoeckl is also relieved that the injury of the Ski Flying World Champion is not that serious. "It is good news, that Daniel is not seriously injured. Now it's about getting fit in time for the winter season. It is important that he gets all the time he needs for the rehabilitation."
