It was a long first day in Willingen and it was a day without any results, respectively jumps. The athletes and a few thousand fans were waiting in vain for the two planned training rounds and the qualification on the Muehlenkopf-hill on Friday, the wind was too strong.

It was clear right from the start that it would not be easy today in Willingen. In the end, it was a day on which everyone had to wait for a long time without getting anything in return.
No training round, no qualification round - nothing, that's the summary of Friday in Willingen.

But nobody can be blamed on a day like today, Ski Jumping and such difficult wind conditions just don't go together. The jury tried hard to finish at least one training round, but despite various postponements and delays of more than four hours, it was not possible. It took more than four hours to have 34 training jumps.

Training and qualification on Saturday
One training round (2 pm CET) and the qualification (3 pm CET) will now be held tomorrow. The competition shall then start as planned at 4 pm CET.

Sunday's competition rescheduled
Due to the weather forecast for Sunday, the competition will start already at 10:15 am CET instead of 4 pm CET. With expected wind speeds of up to 160 km/h, it would not be possible to carry out the competition as originally planned on Sunday afternoon.
