Kevin Bickner and Nina Lussi took the titles at the US Ski Jumping Championships on the normal hill in the Utah Olympic Park in Park City.

With two consistently strong jumps of 99 m and 100 m, Kevin Bickner claimed his third national title. The 22-year-old was followed by Casey Larson and Decker Dean in second and third.

“I’ve had to fix a lot of things this summer, it’s been a lot of work. Coming out and winning this title shows that I’m headed in the right direction,” says Bickner, who will now travel to Europe to compete against an international field in the upcoming FIS Grand Prix events.

Nina Lussi also won her third gold medal at national championships in the women's competition. On the hill, where she sustained a serious knee injury when competing in the Olympic Trails for the 2018 Winter Games, she won ahead of Anna Hoffmann and Annika Belshaw.

“I figured since I’ve been training on this hill the last few weeks, that I had put that behind me. Though the other day, I tweaked my knee a bit. In the end, I had to have a little self-talk and I said to myself that I was going to jump", the winner is quoted on usanordic.org.
