Strong wind prevented the official training and the qualification for the Ski Jumping World Cup in Engelberg (SUI) on Friday. Wind speeds of up to 100 km/h lead to the closing of the entire venue.

At first, it was forecasted that the wind in Engelberg would calm down during the course of the afternoon, the training was postponed from 4 pm to 6 pm. But then the Police put an end to the waiting. The area around the Groß-Titlis-hill was closed down for the entire day and so the jury had to cancel the training today. The danger that somebody could get injured by flying parts was too high.

Training and qualification shall now be held on Saturday.

New schedule for Saturday in Engelberg:
01:30 pm: Official Training - 1 round
02:30 pm: Qualification
04:00 pm: Competition
