With 40 women (the numbers allowed to compete), attending the third World Cup competition in Kingenthal on the HS140 meter hill on Friday, the athletes had an additional training jump in the morning rather than an official qualification later in the day.  The wind was quite strong at some time but this didn’t prevent the athletes to enjoy the hill and the public already here to take selfie photos and autographs opportunities.

After three jumps at 124.5, 135.5 and 142 meters, the Austrian Daniela Iraschko-Stolz showed she was in a great shape, recovering from a disappointing World Cup start in Lillehammer last week-end. The 36-year-old will definitely be included in the list of favorites for tomorrow's competition.

Among the favorites, Maren Lundby from Norway remained strong in training (109, 134, 130 meters). Slovenian Ema Klinec was really happy and surprised for her jumps, definitely improved compared to her last competition. Another Slovenian Nika Kriznar performed also good.

Oberstdorf hero Katharina Althaus was still the strongest from Germany with distances of 125, 124 and 126 meters.

The individual women’s competition starts Saturday at 11:45 CET
