Due to the bad weather forecast for this weekend, two competitions of the Continental Cup in Willingen were already held on Friday. The outstanding athlete today on the Muehlenkopf-hill was Ulrich Wohlgenannt, who could claim the win in both competitions.

In the first event of the day, Austria's Ulrich Wohlgenannt was clearly the best in both rounds with 144 m and 142.5 m and he took a clear win with a total of 281.3 points. It was his first win since December 2017.
The second place went to Wohlgenannt's teammate Markus Schiffner, who scored 249.7 points with his jumps of 138 m and 132 m.
Cene Prevc of Slovenia finished third with 138 m and 129 m and 237.2 points. This is the best result in the Continental Cup for the 24-year-old since March 2018.

Norway's Anders Haare came in fourth, followed by Junshiro Kobayashi of Japan (5th), Slovenia's Anze Semenic (6th) and Kobayashi's teammate Yuken Iwasa (7th).
Richard Freitag was the best jump of the German hosts in this competition. He tied for eighth with Sondre Ringen of Norway.

Only a little while later, the second competition also ended with a 1-2 finish for Austria, and once again with Ulrich Wohlgenannt and Markus Schiffner. Wohlgenannt took his sixth win in the Continental Cup with jumps of 149 m and 140.5 m and 306.5 points.
Markus Schiffner jumped on 144 m and 141.5 m in the evening and repeated his second place with 292.9 points.
After his eighth place earlier, Sondre Ringen finished third now with 142 m and 137 m and 282.5 points.

Aleksander Zniszczol, who could not qualify for the final round in the afternoon, closely missed the podium in fourth. Junshiro Kobayashi was fifth again, the strong team result for Austria was completed by Maximilian Steiner in sixth and Peter Resinger in ninth.
