The German Ski Association (DSV) announced on Friday, that the FIS Ski Jumping Grand Prix on October 2nd and 3rd, 2020 will not take place.
The reason for this decision are the current national and international restrictions with regard to Covid-19 and the lack of planning reliability for the organizers.

"Our main priority is the safety and health of the participants and spectators. In order to guarantee that, we simply need more time to develop and test the concepts. That's why, with a heavy heart, we decided to cancel the Grand Prix. At the same time we are now fully focusing on the tasks ahead this winter", Dr. Franz Steinle, president of the DSV, is quoted on the website of the association.

Right now, the officials are working on the plans for the big events next winter.
"Currently we are working on the concepts for our World Cup events in winter and the Nordic Ski World Championships 2021 in Oberstdorf. And I'm confident, that we will be able to find positive solutions for all disciplines and venues in cooperation with the Germany Olympic Committee and the two international federations in order to carry out the events as planned", Dr. Franz Steinle continued.
