Halvor Egner Granerud

After a totally frustrated Halvor Egner Granerud got the anger off his chest in an interview right after the competition in Innsbruck, he apologizes for what he said later on Sunday evening.

Immediately after his disappointing 15th place in yesterday's competition and the loss of the overall lead in the 4-Hills-Tournament, Halvor Egner Granerud let his emotions run free, this resulted in a sweeping blow and also Kamil Stoch, who won the competition, didn't get off lightly. In the evening Granerud then clarified his statement in a video message to Kamil Stoch and everyone else.

"Hello Kamil, and everyone else seeing this. I just want to apologize for the comments today. It wasn't meant as anything bad against your jumping, it was an outcry of frustration about my own result and my previous results on this hill. I was really frustrated, I shouldn't have done an interview in anger. I never meant to say Kamil isn't a good ski jumper, he is my Ski Jumping idol and I tried to jump the way he does. I watch a lot of his jumping regularly and it wasn't meant this way. I'm sorry. I think Kamil is one of the best ever", Granerud said in his emotional video.
