Jacqueline Seifriedsberger underwent knee surgery
Feb 11, 2021·Ski JumpingAustrian Jacqueline Seifriedsberger had to undergo knee surgery on Wednesday. Since her crash last March in the World Cup event in Lillehammer (NOR), in which she sustained an ACL tear, the 30-year-old has been working on her comeback.
Seifriedsberger has now torn her meniscus during training in Planica (SLO). The good news: The ACL was not injured again this time.
The four-time medalist at Nordic World Championships was successfully operated by Dr. Gernot Sperner in Innsbruck.
Jacqueline Seifriedsberger: "The surgery went well and right now it seems as I will be on the same level again where I was in training recently in just a few weeks. I want to train together with the team again in preparation for the next season. Of course, this is a setback, but the most important thing now is that I'll get fit again. My goal is to be completely ready for the upcoming Olympic season."
