Jaka Hvala ends his Ski Jumping career
Aug 11, 2020·Ski JumpingJaka Hvala of Slovenia has ended his career as a ski jumper. The 27-year-old announced his decision on social media on Tuesday.
"The time has come, that I finally decided to finish my career as a ski jumper. I am proud that I have achieved my childhood dreams on my way: to jump for the national team, fly over 200m, to be a member of Olympic team, to win World cup competition, ...", Jaka Hvala wrote on Facebook.
"I would like to thank you all who supported me on my way in good and bad moments. Special thanks to my family, coaches and team staff, sponsors, teammates and friends", the Slovene continued.
Jaka Hvala made his debut in the World cup in January 2012. He claimed his first win about a year later in Klingenthal, shortly after he secured the gold medal in the individual and the team competition at the 2013 Junior World Championships in Liberec.
