Jurij Tepes has ended his career

Jurij Tepes announced his retirement during a press conference of the Slovenian Ski Jumping team in Moravske Toplice on Tuesday.
"I've already said before the last season, that it might be my last one, depending on how it goes. The winter was a little bit shorter and I would have loved to end it in Planica. But we all know what the situation was back then. In March, I have then decided to retire", said the 31-year-old Ljubljana-native.
Jurij Tepes, who claimed two World Cup wins and won the bronze medal in team competitions at the Nordic World Championships in Oslo 2011 and at the Ski Flying World Championships in Vikersund 2012, is satisfied with how his career went. "I gained a lot of valuable experiences and I'm happy that I got this far in my career in elite sports."
Originally, the Slovene wanted to continue jumping longer, but due to the struggles he faced in recent years, this plan has now changed. "I had some problems in the last two, three years. I was hoping to jump until I'm 35, but that didn't work out", Jurij Tepes, who wants to work as a coach now, is quoted on sloski.si.
