Unfortunately, the first suspicion, that Killian Peier might have suffered a serious knee injury in his crash on Saturday, has now been confirmed.

The 25-year-old fell after the landing in the first round of the Swiss Championships in Einsiedeln, the final diagnosis then followed later that evening. The Swiss sustained a rupture of the ACL in his left knee and a cut on the chin.

Killian Peier will undergo surgery next week and according to team doctor Dr. Walter O. Frey he will be sidelined for about six to nine months. This means that the bronze medalist of the last World Championships in Innsbruck 2019 will miss the next Nordic World Championships in the upcoming season in Oberstdorf (GER).
