Gregor Deschwanden

Gregor Deschwanden and Sina Arnet were the winners at this year's Swiss Ski Jumping Championships, that were held two weeks later than originally planned due to two positive covid tests in the team.

On the HS 117 in Einsiedeln, Gregor Deschwanden posted the best jumps in both rounds with 116 m and 109 m and claimed a clear win with his total of 289.0 points.

The second place went to Dominik Peter, who landed at 110.5 m and 106.5 m and scored 273.5 points. Only 0.5 points behind the 19-year-old, who was the best of the juniors, 4-time Olympic champion Simon Ammann, who also jumped 110.5 m and 106.5 m, finished third.

It was a bad day for Killian Peier: He showed the longest jump of the day with 116.5 m in the first round, but crashed after the landing and was not able to jump in the final round due to a knee injury.

The women's competition was held on the HS 77 hill and there Sina Arnet took the win with 70 m and 74.5 m and 245.5 points, followed by Emely Torazza (68 m and 70 m; 230.2 points) and Rea Kindlimann (63.5 m and 66 m; 215.0 points).
