The Italian Ski Jumping Championships in Predazzo ended with an expected win of Lara Malsiner in the women's competition and a huge surprise in the men's event.

The currently best Italian ski jumper Alex Insam could not compete due to muscular problems, defending champion Giovanni Bresadola fell after the longest jump and so it became the day of Samuel Costa.
With a jump of 94.5 m and 113.5 points, that earned him the national title today, the Nordic Combined skier proved that he is a very good ski jumper. But it was a very tight competition, that had to be restarted after the cancellation of the first round due to strong head wind.
The second place went to Francesco Cecon, the son of former world-class ski jumper Roberto Cecon, with 95 m and 113.0 points. Giulio Bezzi finished third with 112.0 points (95 m).

The women's competition was won by the top favorite Lara Malsiner with 238.0 points (102 m and 100 m), followed by her sister Jessica Malsiner (93 m and 91 m; 210.5 points) and Veronica Gianmoena (90.5 m and 87.5 m; 201.0 points).
The third of the Malsiner sisters, Manuela, was fourth.
