The magnitude of the long career of Ski Jumping legend Noriaki Kasai is proven by many extraordinary numbers. Now, he has received written confirmation of yet another record:

The 47-year-old was presented with the Guinness World Records certificate for the most individual starts in the FIS Ski Jumping World Cup.

From 1988 to 2020 the crowd favourite participated in a total of 569 individual events.

But that's not the end for him just yet: "I will continue to give my best in order to further improve this record", Noriaki Kasai said when he was handed the certificate recently.

This is not the only Guinness World Record held by the Japanese veteran. In the past, he was already recognised for taking part in eight Olympics and 13 World Championships.

In the early stages of the 2014/15 season he also became the oldest winner in World Cup history at 42 years and five months old when he finished joint first with Ammann in Ruka (FIN).
