Even though the number of cases is currently rising everywhere, the organizers of the FIS Nordic Ski World Championships 2021 in Oberstdorf are hoping that the competitions there can be held with fans in the stands despite the Covid-19 pandemic.

"The preparations had to be adjusted a lot over the past six months", CEO Florian Stern said at a press conference. So far, 30 000 tickets have been sold for the major event, which will be held from February 23rd to March 7th, 2021. 2500 spectators shall be allowed in the stadium for the Ski Jumping competitions.

Despite this optimistic outlook, other scenarios are also playing a role in the planning of the organizers. "We also thought about the possibility that there won't be fans on site. Nobody wants this to happen, but we consider it an eventuality that we might be facing", said Moritz Beckers-Schwarz.

Information regarding the tickets is available on the website of the organizers at www.oberstdorf2021.com/tickets/
