The Austrian Ski Jumping team is returning home from a six-day training camp in Camyuva, Turkey, on Saturday. Stefan Kraft, Philipp Aschenwald, Daniel Huber, Jan Hoerl, Manuel Fettner, and Daniel Tschofenig were recharging their batteries for the upcoming Olympic winter season.

In Turkey, the team had all kinds of activities, like mental training, team building, tennis, beach volleyball, sessions in the gym, and physical therapy, on the schedule. First and foremost it was about enjoying the sun and the positive energy before the final training camps before the start of the season will be held in Garmisch-Partenkirchen (GER) and Innsbruck (AUT) in the upcoming weeks.
The 2021/22 World Cup season will kick off on November 20th in Nizhny Tagil (RUS).

Stefan Kraft: "We had all the possibilities to load up on vitamin D and fully recharge the batteries for the winter. We just had a great time as a team. The winter is already getting close and just a few weeks from now we will have temperatures below zero in Russia. I can hardly wait."

Daniel Huber: "We had a lot of fun here in Turkey, that's how it's supposed to be. You can really clear your head and then you're fully motivated and excited for the start of the World Cup. Our main focus here was on mental training, this is something we can especially benefit from in a long Olympic season."

Andreas Widhoelzl (head coach): "Some intense months of training are now behind us, and a long winter with lots of highlights is ahead of us. The week here in Turkey was good for the athletes to clear their heads, so they are now able to fully focus on the tasks ahead of them."
