Austrian top jumpers are struggling with injuries

The two Austrians Michael Hayboeck and Stefan Kraft are currently not able to train fully due to injuries.

Stefan Kraft sustained a capsular injury of the right big toe already early May and after being sidelined for a couple of weeks he was able to start jumping training again earlier this week. "I made four jumps, it was really cool. At the landing, I felt a bit of pain in the toe, but it went well. I really enjoyed being back on the hill", Kraft is quoted on orf.at.

His teammate Michael Hayboeck suffered a bone marrow edema and a partial tear of the anterior syndesmosis ligament when playing soccer last week and is now forced to take a break from training. "I was sprinting towards the ball and twisted my ankle. Either it was a wrong step or there was some kind of small hole in the ground", the 30-year-old said according to orf.at.
Michael Hayboeck will not be able to jump now for up to six weeks.
