COC-W: Sara Takanashi wins in Innsbruck

Sara Takanashi took the win in the first women's Continental Cup competition in Innsbruck (AUT) on Friday afternoon.
The 61-time World Cup winner was the best in both rounds on the Bergisel-hill with jumps of 121 m and 124.5 m and won the competition with 240.0 points.

The second place went to Aleksandra Kustova of Russia, who started from a higher gate than Sara Takanashi and jumped on 125.5 m and 131.5 m for 235.2 points.
Takanashi's teammate Yuki Ito came in third today with 120.5 m and 127 m and 216.6 points.

Irina Avvakumova and Sofia Tikhonova completed the strong team result of the Russians in fourth and fifth, the sixth place went to Germany's Luisa Goerlich.

Behind Sophie Sorschag of Austria (7th), who remains in the lead of the Continental Cup overall ranking, Josephine Pagnier of France, Slovenia's Jerneja Repinc Zupancic of Slovenia, and Yuka Seto of Japan finished eighth, ninth, and tenth.

The second women's competition in Innsbruck follows on Saturday at 9:45 am CET.

The men's official training in Innsbruck had to be canceled this afternoon due to the strong wind, it shall now be held at 1 pm right before the start of Saturday's competition (2 pm CET).
