Austrian Sophie Sorschag won both women's COC competitions in Notodden (NOR) on Friday and Saturday. The 21-year-old Austrian won both competitions on the HS-98 hill in Notodden ahead of Luisa Goerlich (GER) and Julia Muehlbacher (AUT).

In good conditions and wintry temperatures around -10°C, Sorschag, after her success on Friday, also had  clear lead after the first run on Saturday.

The athlete from Villach then extended the half-time lead, so that Sorschag was able to finish with a lead of 14.9 points over Goerlich in the end.

"I have already won here in Nottoden in 2019 and love jumping here. The stairs are not the very best at this hill anymore but basically, it is a beautiful hill," the double winner was happy to say.

The two German athletes Josephin Laue and Michelle Goebel followed in 4th and 5th place on Saturday. The US-American Annika Belshaw was able to celebrate a good 6th place.

With her two victories, Sorschag celebrated the third victory in a row. After her success, Sorschag leads the COC overall ranking with 345 points ahead of Julia Muehlbacher (225 points) and Russian Mariia Iakovleva (212 points), who finished 11th on Saturday.
