Dominik Peter of Switzerland sustained a knee injury during training recently. After an MRI, injuries of the medial and lateral meniscus were diagnosed.

This is a setback now for the 19-year-old, who had his best season so far last winter with the 16th place in the World Cup in Nizhny Tagil in December and a bronze medal at the Junior World Championships.

Dominik Peter already had surgery in a hospital in Biel on Wednesday. Right now it's not clear yet how long the Swiss youngster will be sidelined, this will be decided in the upcoming weeks. According to team doctor Walter O. Frey, he will require months of physical rehab.
