Final training for the ski jumpers in Beijing

A day before the Olympic team competition on the large hill, which concludes the Ski Jumping events in Beijing, the ski jumpers had one last opportunity to train on the HS 140 hill in the Snow Ruyi National Ski Jumping Centre of Zhangjiakou. A few teams used this training to decide which athletes will be named to the teams for the competition on Monday.

A total of 30 athletes were jumping today, Some of them only wanted to make three additional training jumps in freezing cold (-16°C), others still had to decide who will get the chance to compete tomorrow.

For example the Norwegians, who are not only the defending Olympic champions but also have a good chance to win another medal in Monday's competition. Robert Johansson, Halvor Egner Granerud, and Robin Pedersen were fighting for the two remaining spots alongside Marius Lindvik and Daniel Andre Tande.

In the German team, it was about deciding if Stephan Leyhe or Pius Paschke will be on the team together with Karl Geiger, Markus Eisenbichler, and Constantin Schmid.

Anze Lanisek and Cene Prevc were fighting for the last place on the Slovenian team. In the end, Cene Prevc came out on top, especially because his very good last jump today. Cene Prevc was named to the team that has a very good chance to finish in the Top 3 on Monday.

Daniel Tschofenig was the only Austrian who took part in today's training.
The Austrian was already confirmed earlier with Stefan Kraft, Jan Hörl, Manuel Fettner, and Daniel Huber fest.

Team Poland will be represented by Kamil Stoch, Piotr Zyla, Pawel Wasek, and Dawid Kubacki, who earned the nomination against Stefan Hula.

Temperatures of about -25°C are forecasted for the team competition on Monday evening (7 pm LOC; 12 pm CET). This team event will become a hot competition in freezing temperatures.

Ryoyu and Junsihro Kobayashi, Naoki Nakamura and Yukiya Sato are on Team Japan.
Evgenij Klimov, Danil Sadreev, Roman Tromifov, and Mikhail Nazarov will be competing for the Russian Olympic Committee

Dominik Peter, Gregor Deschwanden, Simon Ammann, and Killian Peier are on the team of Switzerland.

In addition, the teams of the USA, the Czech Republic and China will also be competing tomorrow.
