FIS Cup: Schwann and Iakovleva win twice in Otepaeae

It was a successful start of the 2021 Ski Jumping summer season in Otepaeae (EST). This year's summer season kicked off with four FIS Cup competitions, two of the men and two of the women, on the HS 100 Tehvandi-hill.

On Saturday, Mariia Iakovleva of Russia won ahead of Finland's Jenny Rautionaho and Bing Dong of China. Iakovleva then claimed her second win in 24 hours on Sunday. This time followed by Dong and Rautionaho in third. The Chinese team achieved notable results with seven resp. six athletes in the Top 10 of these FIS Cup competitions.

Austria's Mika Schwann won both men's competitions this weekend, the two Germans Luca Roth and Justin Lisso could also show convincing performances in second and third.

Local hero Artti Aigro came in fifth (Saturday) and fourth (Sunday).

The FIS Grand Prix 2021 starts two weeks from now in Wisla (POL). That same weekend, the men's and women's Continental Cup will start in Kuopio (FIN).
