After the women, also the men had a good first qualification of the 2021 summer season. Three-time Olympic champion Kamil Stoch of Poland won this qualification in Wisla (POL) with a jump of 128 m, followed by the two Austrians Jan Hoerl and Markus Schiffner.

Today's winner Kamil Stoch was the best of the Polish jumpers, who were strong as usual in summer this afternoon. Jakub Wolny (5th), Dawid Kubacki (6th), and Piotr Zyla (11th) provided for a strong team result of Poland to the joy of the many fans at the Adam-Malysz-hill in Wisla. After there were no fans at the hills during the past winter season, finally spectators were allowed again in Wisla. Even if it was only about 50 % of the capacity in the stadium, the atmosphere was still amazing.

Besides the strong Poles, the Austrian team also did very well with the places two (Jan Hoerl), three (Markus Schiffner), and 12 (Manuel Fettner).

Markus Eisenbichler posted a strong jump and was the best of the Germans in fourth, Constantin Schmid came in on a good eighth place. Good news for the German team: Today's performance of Andreas Wellinger. The 2018 Olympic champion jumped on 123.5 m and finished 19th after his long drought. Wellinger is on his way back, the fans have been waiting for this for a long time. Karl Geiger was 22nd, Severin Freund 25th, and Stephan Leyhe had a successful comeback after his long break due to a knee injury in 28th.
