National championships in Finland and France
Apr 03, 2022·Ski JumpingFor some ski jumpers, the season didn't end with the World Cup finals, as national championships were held this weekend in Finland and France.
At the Finnish championships on the normal hill in Rovaniemi, the title went to Niko Kytosaho. The 22-year-old posted jumps of 97 m and 95.5 m and won with a total of 285.2 points.
The second place went to Eetu Nousiainen with 95 m and 96 m and 277.7 points, he was followed by nordic combined athlete Ilka Herola in third with jumps on 98 m and 96.5 m and 262.7 points.
Kasperi Valto, Arttu Pohjola, and Kalle Heikkinen came in fourth, fifth, and sixth.

Jenny Rautionaho was in a league of her own in the women's competition, also on the HS 100 in Rovaniemi, with 86 m and 87 m and 210.1 points. The other two spots on the podium went to Minja Korhonen with 157.5 points (78 m and 74 m) and Susanna Forsstroem (70 m and 79 m; 152.0 points).

Enzo Milesi surprisingly claimed the title at the French nationals. On the HS 90 hill in Premanon, the 19-year-old took the win with jumps of 92 m and 91.5 m and a score of 268.7 points.
Nordic combined athlete Laurent Muehlethaler finished second with 87.5 m and 91.5 m and 262.7 points. One point behind Muehlethaler, Alessandro Batby was third with 89.5 m and 91 m.
Mathis Contamine came in fourth, Matteo Baud and Julien Gay followed in fifth and sixth.
Josphine Pagnier took a clear win in the women's competition with 86 m and 86.5 m and 244.0 points. Julia Clair was second with 83.5 m and 80.5 m and 228.5 points, Lilou Zepchi-Ducrot finished third with 217.5 points (80 m and 82.5 m).
