National championships in the Czech Republic, Russia and Estonia

This weekend national Ski Jumping champions were crowned in various nations.

Viktor Polasek secured the Czech national title on the normal hill in Frenstat with 100 m and 96 m and 267.1 points. The other two spots on the podium went to Cestmir Kozisek (97.5 m and 94.5 m; 256.6 points) and Jan Vytrval (98 m and 100 m; 242.5 points).
Tomas Portyk, Benedikt Holub, and Filip Sakala finished fourth, fifth, and sixth.

The women's competition was dominated by Klara Ulrichova with 230 points (87.5 m and 90 m), Veronika Jencova was second (89 m and 75 m; 191.1 points) and Anezka Indrackova finished third (74 m and 66.5 m; 138.1 points).

In the national championships in Russia, the title went to Evgeniy Klimov, who jumped on 130 m and 132.5 m and scored 243.1 points. With this performance, he secured a narrow lead over youngster Danil Sadreev (132 m and 131 m; 242.8 points). Mikhail Nazarov took the third place on the HS 140 Olympic hill in Sochi with 237.3 points (129 m and 130 m).
Roman Trofimov was fourth and missed the podium by a bit more than ten points, Ilya Mankov and Aleksander Bazhenov came in fifth and sixth.

In the women's competition on the normal hill, Irina Avvakumova took the win with 99.5 m and 103.5 m and 243.3 points, ahead of Sofia Tikhonova (99 m and 100 m; 231.0 points) and Aleksandra Kustova (98 m and 99.5 m; 222.0 points).

The Estonian championships were held on the normal hill in Otepaeae. Kristjan Ilves took the win there with 97.5 m and 90 m and a total of 240.0 points, followed by Kevin Maltsev, who scored 228.5 points with his jumps of 95 m and 87 m; Martti Nomme came in third with 90.5 m and 88 m and 219.5 points.
Artti Aigro did not take part in this competition. He sustained a ligament injury in his ankle during training and will not be able to jump for a couple of weeks.

In the women's event Annemarii Bendi took a more than clear win with 86.5 m and 82.5 m and 193.0 points, Triinu Hausenberg finished second (53 m and 52.5 m; 46.5 points).
