The Norwegian Ski Association announced the national teams for the upcoming 2021/22 Ski Jumping season. A total of 12 athletes achieved this status ahead of the Olympic winter season.

Halvor Egner Granerud, last winter's overall World Cup champion, leads the men's national team for the upcoming season. Alongside the 24-year-old, Robert Johansson, Anders Fannemel, Johann Andre Forfang, Marius Lindvik, Thomas Aasen Markeng, and Daniel Andre Tande, who had a serious crash during the World Cup final in Planica (SLO), are on the team of head coach Alexander Stoeckl.
Maren Lundby, Thea Minyan Bjoerseth, Silje Opseth, Eirin Kvandal, and Anna Odine Stroem were named to the women's national team of head coach Christian Meyer.

"We are about to start a season full of highlights, with the Olympic Games in Beijing, the Ski Flying World Championships in Vikersund, the 4-Hills-Tournament, and the RAW AIR. The World Cup calendars are full as well", said sports director Clas Brede Braathen.

In a season with a lot of competitions, Braathen points out that also athletes like Anders Haare, Robin Pedersen, and Ingebjoerg Saglien Braaten, who didn't make the national team, will get their chances.
"We are strengthening our support for the national team towards a season for which we have high goals. But there will always be the possibility to participate in international competitions. At the same time, the results last season show, that the level of Norwegian Ski Jumping is as high as it has never been in recent history", Clas Brede Braathen continues.
