Slovenia dominates and Bogataj takes the win in Oberhof

Olympic Champion Ursa Bogataj (SLO) won her second world Cup in Oberhof with two good jumps of 98 and 98.5 m, scoring 266.8 points. While she registered already the new German hill record the previous day during qualification (97,5 m), she improved her jumps today and simultaneously the hill record. She was delighted to perform so well, as her parents were part of the spectators.

The podium was share once again with teammate Nika Kraznar who finished second with 261,1 points while Katharina Althaus was third, happy to be on the podium at home and in front of spectators.

With a sixth place and the yellow bib, Austrian Marita Kramer secured already the Overall win for tomorrow. With 155 points ahead of Nika Kriznar, the crystal globe can not be missed.  Teammate Lisa Eder followed in eighth position.

Best Japanese was Sara Takanashi (fourth) ahead of Yuki Ito, finishing seventh.

Clearly leading the Nation Cup ranking, Slovenian had Ema Klinec (fifth) and Nika Prevc (11th) to complete the strong team in the top 11.

Austrian Lisa Eder finished eighth while Frida Westman from Sweden performed also well claiming the ninth position. Another German jumper was highly cheered with Pauline Hessler. Hessler showed her best jumps and reached the 10th position, her best so far even if not her first time (Nizhny Tagil during the season kick-off in Russia).

For her first competition in World Cup, Swiss Sina Arnet had a really good start as she managed also to score points. Vanessa Moharitsch (AUT) scored also her first point today.

The competition continues on Sunday at 14.45 CET. (Qualification 13.00)
