Three women's Continental Cup competitions took place in Lake Placid this weekend. On the HS 128 meter large hill, Canadian Abigail Strate took the top spot from the beginning.

Strate, who had won bronze with the Canadian mixed team in Beijing, clearly won all three competitions. There was also no change in the second and third places during the whole weekend: Strate's Canadian teammate Natalie Eilers could celebrate the second place three times, Nora Midtsundstad from Norway managed to jump to third place three times.

The three successful athletes were also the first, second and third in the COC overall ranking. "The triple success and the overall victory, that feels great, especially here in North America. I could actually fly home for a few days now. My goals are now really high for the upcoming season and I really hope that things will go as well in the winter as they did this summer" said Strate after her success.

Strate had already won both COCs in Lillehammer (NOR) and the FIS Cup in Kranj (SLO) this summer.
