COC-M: Michael Hayboeck takes the win
Sep 25, 2022·Ski JumpingMichael Hayboeck of Austria was the best in the second competition of the Continental Cup in Klingenthal (GER) on Sunday morning.
The 31-year-old veteran, who was already among the very best on Saturday, when he was second, posted jumps of 140 m and 139.5 m in the Vogtland-Arena and took the 14th win of his career in the COC with a total of 277.7 points. "I was able to train well during the summer and I'm fit again, also when it comes to my back. My shape is getting better and if I can finish first and second on a hill that I was struggling with recently, then it's a really good sign for me", said Hayboeck, who will most likely not be participating in the Grand Prix final in Klingenthal next weekend. "It's still about earning an extra quota spot for the winter in the final two COCs in two weeks and so I think I'll probably skip the competitions next weekend", Michael Hayboeck explains.
