COC-M: Sondre Ringen on top again

In the second competition of the Continental Cup in Lillehammer (NOR) on Sunday morning, the exact same ski jumpers were on the podium again as in the first competition on the Lysgaardsbakken on Saturday.

Sondre Ringen of Norway repeated his win from the day before with jumps of 136 m and 138.5 m and a total of 274.8 points, it is the third time that he made it to the top of the podium in the COC.

"I'm very happy. I had six good jumps this weekend, the trial rounds were good and the competitions were even a tiny bit better. The weekend was perfect for me", Sondre Ringen said after his two wins in front of the home crowd.

The second place went to Ren Nikaido of Japan again, who scored a total of 273.6 points with his jumps of 138 m and 134.5 m on the HS 140. Norway's Kristoffer Eriksen Sundal was also able to confirm his top performance from Saturday and finished third again with 140 m and 138.5 m and 273.4 points.

The once again great result of the Norwegian hosts was completed by Anders Fannemel, Fredrik Villumstad, and Bendik Jakobsen Heggli in fourth, fifth, and eighth.

Klemens Muranka of Poland was sixth again, followed by Estonia's Artti Aigro in seventh. Ulrich Wohlgenannt of Austria (9th) and Stefan Hula of Poland (10th) also made the Top 10 in this event.

After the first two competitions this summer, Sondre Ringen lead the overall ranking of the COC with the maximum of 200 points, followed by Ren Nikaido (160 points), and Kristoffer Eriksen Sundal (120 points).

The Continental Cup will continue on September 17th and 18th in Stams (AUT).
