COC-M: Sondre Ringen wins in Klingenthal

Sondre Ringen of Norway claimed his third Continental Cup win this summer in Klingenthal (GER) on Saturday afternoon.
The 25-year-old, who was the best twice in Lillehammer in early September, won in the Vogtland-Arena with jumps of 139 m and 135 m and a total score of 258.5 points. "It was great today. It took a bit longer, but I was able to remain cool and show some good jumps", Sondre Ringen said after the first competition of the weekend.

Austria's Michael Hayboeck also confirmed his consistently strong shape and secured his third podium finish in a row in second place today with 135.5 m and 131.5 m and 247.2 points.
Kristoffer Eriksen Sunday of Norway is also a regular on the podium this season. With 133 m and 130 m and 246.0 points, he came in third for the third time this summer.

Anders Fannemel was the leader after the first round on the HS 140 today, in the end, the Norwegian finished fourth. Behind Slovenia's Lovro Kos, Benjamin Oestvold completed the strong team result of the Norwegian athletes with his sixth place.

Aleksander Zniszczol of Poland finished seventh, followed by the two Austrians Francisco Moerth and Philipp Aschenwald in eighth and ninth, the tenth place went to Italy's Giovanni Bresadola.

With today's win, Sondre Ringen could further extend his lead in the overall ranking of the COC. With now 334 points, he leads ahead of Michael Hayboeck (260 points) and Anders Fannemel (246 points).
The second competition in Klingenthal starts on Sunday at 10 am CET.
