Home victory for Althaus in Hinterzarten

With jumps of 107 and 102 meters and 258.8 points, Katharina Althaus achieved her fourth win of the season in the first of two competitions this weekend in Hinterzarten. Slovenian Ema Klinec, who won the qualification, finished second with 102 and 105.5 meters (237.6 p.). Third place went to the Canadian Abigail Strate, who landed on the podium for the first time with 103 and 106.5 meters (236.3 pts).

Selina Freitag from the German team took fifth place with 97 and 99 meters behind Sara Takanashi from Japan (4th). Behind her on sixth place was Chiara Kreuzer, the best Austrian. Takanashi's teammate Yuki Ito finished seventh ahead of China's Qi Liu, who achieved her second-best career result and also the second-best World Cup result for China. With Yuka Seto, a third Japanese even ended up in the top ten, who was completed by the best Norwegian, Anna Odine Stroem.

Pia Lilian Kübler (29th) from Germany collected World Cup points for the first time. Before the competition qualification round took place. Organizers prepared the money prize for 500 euros, which Ema Klinec from Slovenia won.

World Cup Leader – Eva Pinkelnig finished today on the 13th place but she stays on the leader’s board of Women’s World Cup with 183 points ahead of second Katharina Althaus.
