The World Cup for ski jumpers starts earlier than ever before.
In Wisla (POL) for the first time ever (exactly 4) World Cups will be held on synthetic mats instead of snow.

It is the longest World Cup season in ski jumping history. Beginning November 4th, 2022 - end April 2nd, 2023.
The start in Wisla is the first Ski Jumping World Cup for women in Poland.
Ski jumping takes place on the Adam Malysz' hill. Since this year Adam Malysz, who gave his name, has also been President of the Polish Ski Association.

The Adam Malysz ski jump in Wisla is traditionally a ski jump for surprise winners:
In 2017 it was Junshiro Kobayashi (JPN), 2018 Evgeniy Klimov (RUS) and 2021 Jan Hörl (AUT) who surprisingly won in Wisla. For all three it was the first World Cup victory so far.
