The team from Austria ( Michael Hayboeck, Manuel Fettner, Jan Hoerl and Stefan Kraft ) won the first team competition of the ski jumpers this winter in Zakopane (POL) on Saturday. The teams from Slovenia and Germany finished well behind the ÖSV Eagles.

Stefan Kraft: " Mega, I've never had such a huge lead in a team competition. I knew I had to risk everything again at the end and fight for every meter. There's still the Polish Tour at stake. I feel comfortable on the hill. Tomorrow I have to do my thing again."

Manuel Fettner: ""We are all super happy with the result. We knew that the team competition could be our chance to get closer again in the Poland Tour. I'm also very happy with my jumps."

Peter Prevc explained for the Slovenian team: "We are happy with the result today, we were well prepared for this competition. The whole team jumped at a very high level".

"I was very happy with my jumps today, it was perfect," said the outstanding man in the German team, Andreas Wellinger. Team colleague Pius Paschke added: "Andi jumped outstandingly in the final, but the whole team was strong today. Several teams were at a comparable level today, so we're really happy that we managed to make it onto the podium".
The team from Japan finished just behind the German team, followed by the teams from Norway, Poland and Switzerland in places 5-7. Italy reached the final and finished in 8th place.

The Poland Tour will be really exciting again with the last competition on Sunday. After today's team jumping, the Slovenians' lead has shrunk to a tiny 2.4 points.
In the final competition, the individual competition tomorrow, it's all about every meter for the two best from each team.
