Sep 11, 2023·Ski JumpingThere were several premieres to celebrate on the HS 106 Midtstubakken in Oslo (NOR) this weekend. In the four competitions, two women celebrated their first victories in the newly created Inter-COC competition series, while in the men's competition a very experienced athlete won twice.
Local hero Ingvild Synnoeve Midtskogen on Saturday and Italy's Annika Sieff on Sunday were the winners in the first two women's Inter-COC competitions. Ingvild Synnoeve Midtskogen, who is only 15 years old, was clearly ahead of Sieff and Lara Malsiner (ITA) on Saturday, then Annika Sieff won on Sunday with a clear lead of more than 25 points over the Norwegian. Third place went to Kjersti Greasli from Norway on Sunday.

In the men's competition, veteran Robert Johansson won twicey. On Saturday the Norwegian won ahead of the two Austrians Maximilian Steiner and Clemens Leitner. On Sunday, the 33-year-old three-time World Cup winner won ahead of Tomofumi Naito from Japan and Artti Aigro from Estonia.

The new Inter-COC race series merges the previous FIS Cup and Continental Cup series into a common new series, this format exists only for the women.
This weekend, after they were originally planned for September 2 and 3 in Ljubno (SLO) but had to be cancelled due to the flood, the first competitions of the new series took place.
In the Inter-COC overall ranking, the two day winners Ingvild Synnoeve Midtskogen and Annika Sieff are jointly leading with 180 points each.
In the men's COC, double winner Robert Johansson from Norway leads with 200 of 200 possible points ahead of Maximilian Steiner from Austria and Japan's Tomofumi Naito.
Next weekend the next Inter-COC and COC competitions for women and men will take place in Stams (AUT).
