Nika Prevc won first competition of 2 Nights Tour in Garmisch

Two weeks after her first World Cup victory, Nika Prevc added her second: The Slovenian won the first ever women's World Cup competition in Garmisch-Partenkirchen on Saturday evening with 133 and 130 metres and 267.4 points. At the first stop of the first Two Nights Tour, she finished 12.9 points ahead of Norway's Eirin Maria Kvandal (126.5 and 132.5 metres; 254.5 points). Third place went to Abigail Strate with 131 and 130.5 metres and 247.4 points. For her it was the second podium finish of her career.

Eva Pinkelnig landed in a strong fourth place in her season debut after a knee injury, just 1.4 points behind the podium. Jenny Rautionaho from Finland equalled her best World Cup result in fifth place, finishing ahead of the best Japanese skier Sara Takanashi. Overall World Cup leader Josephine Pagnier from France finished seventh ahead of Pinkelnig's team-mate Sara Marita Kramer.

Rautionaho's compatriot Julia Kykkänen in ninth place ensured that two Finns finished in the top ten for the first time. Luisa Görlich completed the top ten as the best German. Katharina Schmid came twelfth, with Prevc team-mate Ema Klinec finishing between her and Görlich. With Julia Mühlbacher, Jacqueline Seifriedsberger and Lisa Eder, an Austrian trio finished in 17th to 19th place, with Chiara Kreuzer in 24th.

Selina Freitag finished on 21st place, and Anna Ruprecht 26th place.  Alvine Holz from Germany, qualified for her first World Cup competition and she finished on 27th place. Anezka Indrackova from the Czech Republic also achieved her best career result in 22nd place.

Three Germans miss out on World Cup points
Pia Lilian Kübler qualified for the competition for the first time this season, but missed the top 30 by 2.3 points in 32nd place. France's Emma Chervet and Poland's Pola Beltowska managed to qualify for the jumping competition for the first time in their careers, achieving their best World Cup results in 33rd and 38th place respectively.
