World Large Hill champion Domen Prevc (SLO) claimed victory in the Ski Flying event in Vikersund, Norway, on Sunday. Serious wind conditions reduced the men’s competition to one round, but Domen Prevc excited the fans with an impressive jump to finish 15.3 points clear of Germany’s Andreas Wellinger.

Ryoyu Kobayashi landed in third place on Sunday, 23.3 points behind Prevc. Stefan Kraft (AUT) and Anze Lanisek (SLO) rounded out the top five.

For Wellinger, who won the Ski Flying event on Saturday, the second place was enough to secure the overall victory in the Raw Air tournament which took place in Oslo and Vikersund this week.

Wellinger became the first German to win the Raw Air tournament. The 29-year-old finished 16.3 points clear of Prevc and had a 23-9 point advantage over Kobayashi.

Prevc-perfect weekend in Norway

Domen Prevc was happy with his win in Vikersund on Sunday. “My flight was incredible”, he said.

The Slovenian jumped to a personal best of 247.0 meters and attained a total of 214.5 points to land on the highest step of the podium. “It’s a nice feeling," Prevc said afterward. “After yesterday (when he finished fifth), I just told myself today to fly and enjoy myself. That worked for me.”

All in all, it was a Prevc-perfect weekend, as two-time world champion and Crystal Globe winner Nika Prevc (SLO) claimed victory in the Raw Air tournament after Sunday’s women’s Ski Flying competition was cancelled due to wind conditions.

The jury made that decision after postponing the start several times. “I fully understand,” FIS Race Director Sandro Pertile said. “The priority is always the safety of the athletes. Today we have no chance. We also have no chance to reschedule. It’s a pity, but sometimes we have days like these.”

It's quite the season for Nika Prevc

Prevc led the way in the Raw Air standings from start to finish, winning the Large Hill event in Oslo on Thursday and claiming victory in the Ski Flying event in Vikersund on Saturday.

With a combined total of 455.2 points, the Slovenian has an 83.9-point advantage over 2024 winner Eirin Maria Kvandal (NOR), who finished second in the Raw Air tournament. Anna Odine Stroem (NOR) finished third in the overall ranking.

Prevc is the third Slovenian to win the Raw Air tournament after Nika Vodan in 2022 and Ema Klinec in 2023.

It’s quite the season for Prevc, who secured the 2024/25 Crystal Globe on Thursday, with a few World Cup events left to come. The two-time world champion (Normal and Large Hill) also won the Two Nights Tour, the Raw Air tournament ánd set a Ski Flying world record this season.
