Second victory for Lindvik in 24 hours

After his success at the Grand Prix in Wisla (POL) on Saturday, Marius Lindvik (NOR) also won the second competition on the Adam Malysz ski jump on Sunday.

In good conditions and blue skies, Lindvik once again came out on top ahead of Estonia's Artti Aigro.

The 19-year-old US-American Tate Frantz provided the surprise of the day in third place.

With a 10-point lead over Aigro, Lindvik left no doubt about his current super form on the second day of competition in Wisla. ‘That was a really good day today. The whole weekend was great, my form is right and the whole team is in good shape,’ said the Olympic champion (large hill) from Beijing 2022, delighted with his double success in Wisla.

With his second victory, Lindvik collected a total of 200 points in the overall Grand Prix standings and is now level on points with Austria's Stefan Kraft in the lead. Kraft also has 200 points to his name.

Second-placed Estonian Artti Aigro secured the second podium finish of his career within 24 hours: "I like the hill in Wisla, I manage really good jumps here. I hope that I'll be on the top step of the podium one day. But on days when Marius jumps like he did yesterday and today, it's very difficult to beat him,’ explained Artti Aigro.

Third place went to the US-American Tate Frantz. The 19-year-old achieved the best result of his young career with third place. ‘I'm super happy with the result and with my jumps. I'm in good shape and I'm going to work hard to get even better in the winter,’ said Frantz.

The special thing about Sunday's result in Wisla: although the three athletes on the podium come from three different nations, they train together in an international training team under the leadership of Team Norway.

‘It's great to see that almost the whole team is in the top 6,’ said a delighted Artti Aigro. Behind the three top finishers, three more Norwegians from the training group, Johann Andre Forfang, Halvor Egner Granerud and Kristoffer Eriksen Sundal, finished in the top 6. A very strong performance by the training team of NOR, EST and USA in Wisla.

Pawel Wasek, the best athlete from the Polish team, finished in 7th place, Alex Insam (ITA) once again put in a strong performance in 8th place and Gregor Deschawanden (SUI) finished in ninth place on Sunday after third place on Saturday.

There were no German ski jumpers at the start.
