A severe storm hit the Adam Malysz ski jump in Wisla last night and severely damaged the hill, or more precisely the counter slope.

The four FIS Grand Prix competitions (2 x women, 2 x men) planned for the weekend of August 17th and 18th therefore have to be canceled for the time being.
According to initial estimates, the organizers will need at least two weeks to repair the damage.

However, the organizers in Wisla would like to reschedule the canceled Grand Prix this summer.
The new date is to be the weekend of September 14 and 15, i.e. the weekend before the 2024 Grand Prix enters its second calendar phase with the competitions in Rasnov (ROU).

The organizing committee will announce as soon as possible whether the new date will actually take place.

"Something like this is of course annoying and a shame so shortly before the planned Grand Prix competitions. But these things happen and we will work together to repair the damage and then reschedule the competitions in Poland in September, which the fans and teams are particularly looking forward to", explained FIS Race Director Sandro Pertile.
