Emilie Aubry part of historic match

Former Swiss snowboard cross athlete Emilie Aubry has been part of an historic women's football match which took place a few days ago at Mount Kilimanjaro serving as an assistant referee.
Being part of the Equal Playing Field movement, 30 women who were teaming up as Glacier FC and Volcano FC – Including many former highly decorated football athletes from all around the world – came together at Africa's highest mountain to accept the challenge of taking on a world record that no one else, of any gender, has ever done.
To play a football match on a sea level of 5,730 metres.
By doing so and with two years out from the next Women's World Cup, athletes wanted to raise awareness and funding for women’s football development and organisations globally that support it.
After the record was broken, all women climbed up to Tanzania's Uhuru Peak (5,895m), the highest point of the volcano – including Emilie Aubry who has kicked off her second career as football referee a few years ago already.
