Fischer and Beckhaus new German SBX champs

Jana Fischer and Leon Beckhaus have claimed the German snowboard cross titles last Saturday.
While Fischer earned her career's first placing sixth in the first women's race of the double Europa Cup in Grasgehren (GER), Beckhaus had an unexpected and even better showing.
Just like his teammate Fischer, the 18-year-old from Munich secured his career's first by bringing home his best EC result so far.
Although not being the best at the starts, the talent from Bavaria followed a clever game play choosing a superb line to play the Hare and Tortoise game successfully in his heats.
In the end, Beckhaus finished in third position behind of Adam Lambert (AUS) and Jakob Dusek (AUT) to claim the title.
The women's race was won by Julia Pereira (FRA).
