Eva Samkova back to winning ways in SBX competition in Erzurum | Highlights

2014 Olympic champion Eva Samkova (CZE) celebrates a perfect comeback after her shoulder injury suffered in Val Thorens back in December 2017 to earn her career's 8th in the Erzurum SBX World Cup race. Chloe Trespeuch (FRA) and Michela Moioli (ITA) round out the podium as second and third, respectively after a superb premiere of Erzurum as a World Cup venue. Nelly Moenne Loccoz (FRA) finishes in fourth position. The discipline consists of five different events Big air, Halfpipe, Slopestyle, Snowboard cross, and parallel slalom. Snowboarding is a young snow sport which began in the 1960's. Snowboarding began to be organized in that decade when the advancements in modern snowboard equipment and freedom of expression led to new and exciting snowboard techniques. Snowboarding's growing popularity is reflected in its recognition as an official sport: in 1985, with the first World Cup was held in Zürs, Austria.
