It was Farrow's seventh birthday. He had been skiing since he was four, but felt like he wanted a change on that particular day.

So on his birthday he asked his dad if he could rent a board and give it a go. He said yes and Farrow never went back.

Since then, it has been onward and upward for Farrow. He marked the 2011 season with an appointment to the World Championships team, where he placed 12th in halfpipe, the top U.S. finisher.

Soon after he was called up to join the ranks of the U.S. Snowboard rookie squad directly advancing to the U.S. Snowboarding Pro Team one year later finishing his inaugural season on the team with three appearances in halfpipe finals in the 2013 World Cup season.

In the 2014 winter, although placing tenth in the Cardrona HP event and seventh in Copper Mt, he narrowly missed a spot in the strong US team for the 2014 Olympic Winter Games.

When 'Benji' isn't riding, he enjoys writing, photography, hanging out with friends, causing mischief, skateboarding and exploring – not necessarily in that order.
