Chloe Kim

Snowboard halfpipe sensation Kim started on a snowboard when she was four years old and started competing at six being part of Team Mountain High out of California.

At the age of eight to ten, she moved to Valais, Switzerland to improve her riding skills (she is still coming back with her parents on a regular base to work on her French) before heading back home returning to Mammoth Mountain, CA.

In 2013, only 13 years of age, this young riper joined the US Team and kicked off writing history right away.

The year after became her breakout season with podium spots ad Dew Tour, X Games and US Open; however, she missed a spot for the 2014 Sochi Olympic Winter Games due to age restrictions.

As if that would have been a motivation boost, Kim picked up where she left off adding some decent tricks to her bag such as a frontside 1080, cab 900 and a switch method.

The hard work paid off when she became the youngest ever Winter X Games gold medallist in 2015.

In the 2015-16 season, Kim, who enjoys riding horses, too, let her competitors know that she is here to stay placing second at her World Cup debut in Mammoth Mountain, adding a consecutive X Games gold to her belt and opening up a new chapter in women's halfpipe snowboarding on February 6th, 2016 when she became the first ever to land back-to-back 1080's in a contest run.

Needless to say that she won the competition with a perfect 100, the first ever awarded, too, and that we can expect a lot more from this young and driven rider.
