Ben and Gabe Ferguson have pulled of a feat only a few siblings have been able to do so in the history of halfpipe World Cup riding.

So far, there have been only a few contests, which saw either brothers or sisters dropping in the same halfpipe – and the dynamic duo from Oregon has been done it four times now.

But last weekend, at the LAAX OPEN 2017, Ben and Gabe Ferguson became the first sibpair to compete in the finals of an halfpipe World Cup since fellow countrymen Erik and Bjorn Leines did so back in Breckenridge 1995.

Both ended a waiting streak for a family affair in halfpipe finals by securing a fifth and eleventh rank finish respectively proving that two is definitely better than one.

Ben, who turned 22 during the competition at Crap Sogn Gion and his four years younger brother Gabe have made the best out of growing up at Mt. Bachelor.

Both have moved up from the U.S. Snowboarding rookie team to compete in the biggest in events in the world having brought home some coveted titles already

Ben Ferguson started snowboarding at the age of six - that's what's happening 16 years later

Back in 2012, at the first ever Youth Olympic Winter Games in Austria, Ben crowned himself halfpipe champion whilst also winning silver in the slopestyle event.

One year later, he landed his first ever World Cup podium at the Copper Mountain Grand Prix which he repeated the next season again (both times third).

Gabe has also good memories on U.S. Grand Prix competitions as the World Cup in Mammoth Mountain last season was the won he broke through on the highest competition level rounding out the podium as third.

It's more than likely, that we will see more halfpipe finals participation of this dynamic snowboard duo.
