Habluetzel set to go to South Korea

Swiss Snowboard has announced that halfpipe shredder David Habluetzel, who crashed hard during the finals of the LAAX OPEN last month, will board the flight to Seoul to compete in the Olympic Winter Games PyeongChang 2018.
The 21-year-old who had been back on the snow yesterday for the first time since bruising his shoulder and lumbar column following his fall in the Laax superpipe might not be able to drop in the pipe yet for some training runs but the team's medics have decided that Habluetzel will travel with the Swiss snowboard freestyle roster to South Korea today to participate in his second Olympics.
“My back is still sore and swollen which does affect my movements but I don't recognise any after-pains from the concussion I also had suffered. In general, it's getting better and better each day and I'm confident that I will be ready for the halfpipe qualifiers on 13 February,” said Habluetzel who had placed fifth int he Sochi 2014 Olympic Winter Games.
