Julia Marino took the snowboard World Cup scene by storm coming from zero to hero and to an unexpected but stunning performance at her second ever WC start at the Fenway Park big air event in February 2016.

The U.S. Snowboarding rookie only snuck in off the alternate list when her teammate Ty Walker was sidelined from action after a being injured in practise but the New England native grabbed her chance when she could.

Marino who never before had been competing on a scaffolding ramp or in front of such a huge crowd like the stellar one in Boston just knocked it out of the park bringing home the win from the historic event.

With a serious background of snagging many U.S. Revolution Tour podiums and being on a steady climb since 2013 with a 13th rank at her first ever World Cup at the slopestyle event in Park City 2015, it's pretty likely that Marino will have some more thrilling World Cup appearances with podium results being pretty likely.
